Woman in wheelchair rescued from Scottsdale wash

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a woman in a wheelchair has been rescued from a flooded wash in Scottsdale.

A vehicle reportedly got stuck in the Indian Bend Wash and one of the occupants was a handicapped woman.

Rescue crews were seen talking to the woman after the rescue. She was sitting in a wheelchair in a safe area away from the rushing water.

The name and age of the woman wasn't immediately released.
