TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A former Tucson high school wrestling coach convicted of having sex with a teenage girl has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison.

Pima County prosecutors say 55-year-old Richard Portugal Ortiz was sentenced to consecutive terms of imprisonment on three of the four convictions.

He was found guilty in June on four counts of sexual conduct with a minor.

Ortiz was a wrestling coach at Tucson High Magnet School where his female victim was a student and member of the girls wrestling team.

Ortiz was arrested in June 2012 when sheriff's deputies found him and the then 15-year-old girl partially undressed in his van that was parked on a residential street.

Ortiz initially told police he had met the girl that night at a casino and she was 18.
