HOUSTON (FOX 13) -

When a Texas man couldn't finish mowing his lawn, the firefighters who tried saving his life finished it for him.

John McCormick, 65, suffered a heart attack while mowing the lawn at his home in Baytown, Texas. The veteran was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.

Determined to do something for his family, the first responders went back to the home, finished mowing the lawn, and left a note on the door for the family.

Their simple act of kindness is now going viral after the official city Facebook page posted a picture of it.

A neighbor apparently snapped photos of the good deed, KHOU in Texas report.
